The North Shore Health Department and the North Shore Fire Rescue will be participating in the SafeKids Annual Car Seat Collection Day on April 26. This event provides a way for residents to drop off old car seats for recycling. Seats older than 6 years (the safe life expectancy of a car seat), or car seats that have been involved in a crash will be collected and dismantled to be properly disposed. Also accepted will be car seats that have been recalled, have broken or missing parts, and any unwanted car seats. Stop by from 9:00-11:00 AM at the Brown Deer Fire Station, 4401 W.
